I’m not feeding my starter 3x a day. I have a life.

From Starter to Artisan

Hi Reader

Hot take:

I’m not feeding my starter three times a day.

I have:

🌱 gardens
🐑 animals
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 kids
🍽️ meals to make
…and approximately 47 other things happening

Which means my sourdough has to work in real life.

I think beginners quit because they’re told sourdough has to be:

❌ exact
❌ strict
❌ time consuming

I disagree.

You need enough understanding to make it work.

Not fear.

Not perfection.

Just practical knowledge and confidence.

That’s the approach I teach and use.

If you’ve wanted sourdough to feel less intimidating, this is exactly why I wrote:

📖 From Starter to Artisan: Sourdough for Everyday Life

Tell me…

What’s your controversial sourdough opinion? 😅
