🌱 It’s Time! + A Thousand Pounds of Potatoes!

Learning Old Fashioned Ways in a Modern World with Laura Lawrence

Hi Reader

Well, it finally happened — the frost, and then the very next day, a freeze. It’s bittersweet to start closing up the gardens, but what a blessing this extended warm season has been. My to-do list, which usually wraps up in September, has rolled right into October (and beyond, by the looks of it!).

There are roots to dig for medicine (video coming soon!), beans to winnow—just hauled in 30 pounds of black beans!—and dent corn to pick (a beautiful black popcorn variety). And the list keeps going...

🥔 Potatoes and beets are next up for storage, and get this — we’ll be hitting a record-breaking harvest of 1,000 pounds of potatoes!
I’ll be sharing a full video soon on how to grow your own and never buy potatoes again—similar to my bean and garlic videos. You’ve gotta love this self-sufficiency stuff! Just like I teach inside my patreon homesteading group.

🌿 Big News — My Book Announcement!

Friends, I’m beyond thrilled to share that I’m getting closer and closer to releasing my book!

Please pray for this endeavor; I truly feel it’s part of God’s calling. My whole heart (and life’s work) is being poured into this book, and I can’t wait to share it with you.
