You've Got Food at Home. Let's USE It! (2 Free Printables)

Laura Lawrence

Hi Reader

Let me ask you something.

How much food do you already have sitting in your pantry, freezer, or cupboards that you completely forgot about?

Come on, we've all done it!

We head to the grocery store with a list of ingredients for meals we've planned, meanwhile there's perfectly good food sitting at home just waiting to be used.

Well, I'm here to challenge you to do things a little differently!

During our recent homesteading classes, we spent time talking about bulk food storage, pantry staples, and one of my favorite things — cooking from what you already have!

And that got me thinking. Why not share some of these resources with all of you?

So I've created a brand-new FREE 8-page printable workbook: Build Your Winter Pantry & Meal Plan Made Easy!

Inside, you'll work through what your family ACTUALLY eats, take a look at what you already have, and build a two-week meal plan around those ingredients.

Not the other way around!

The goal isn't to fill your pantry out of fear or buy 50 pounds of something nobody likes.

It's about being smart, wasting less, spending less, and staying OUT of the grocery store as much as possible!

I've also given my Pantry Staples page a much-needed overhaul, sharing some of the basics we keep stocked here on our Northern Michigan homestead.

Grab your free workbook and check out the updated page here:

And here's your challenge:

Before you make your next grocery list, go shopping in your own house FIRST!

You might be surprised how many meals are already waiting to be made.

Old fashioned ways in a modern world,

Laura

PS And I've got a little bonus for you, too!

I'm also sharing my Kitchen Revival Meal Template!

This is one of my favorite ways to get people thinking OUTSIDE the recipe box.

Got some leftover chicken? A little rice? A handful of vegetables? Some cheese?

BINGO. You've got the beginnings of dinner!

The printable helps you mix and match ingredients you already have to create a casserole without running to the grocery store for something you don't need.

Both printables are FREE on my newly updated Pantry Staples page!

Laura Lawrence Hi Reader Money in the bank, y'all. I say this ALL the time around here. Grow garlic and save some to plant again next year? Money in the bank. Learn to save your own seeds instead of buying them again? Money in the bank. Learn to make bread, preserve the garden, grow dry beans, use an herb, or turn a pile of potatoes into the french fries your family would normally buy? Yep. Money in the bank. Because here's the thing— A jar of food eventually gets eaten. And a loaf of...
