Why do we need a different bottle for every single surface in the house?

One for the counter.

One for the mirror.

One for the bathroom.

One for the furniture.

One for the dishwasher.

And one mystery bottle shoved all the way in the back that nobody remembers buying.

Your cleaning cabinet is basically collecting dependents.

That is one reason I started making my own cleaners more than two decades ago.

I wanted simpler ingredients around my young children, but I also wanted to stop spending money on a different product for every little job.

Over the years, I found a handful of homemade cleaners that are simple, inexpensive and actually useful.
